Family Stargazing Tours in the Blue Mountains | Kids 4+ Welcome
Looking for a unique family activity in the Blue Mountains? We believe the magic of the Blue Mountains night sky should be enjoyed by people of all ages, which is why we welcome participants as young as 4 on many of our family-friendly stargazing tours. Escape the city lights, look through telescopes, sip hot chocolate, and share an unforgettable evening under the stars.
Why Our Stargazing Tours Are Perfect for Families
Fun for All Ages
Watch your child’s excitement as they see Saturn’s rings, the Moon’s craters or faraway star clusters. Our guides make astronomy simple and engaging for kids and adults alike.
Hands-On & Educational
Kids (and grown-ups!) can use high-powered telescopes and binoculars while learning how to navigate by the stars. Questions are encouraged – we love sparking curiosity!
Comfortable & Safe Setting
Held in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, our tours include seating, blankets and warm drinks. The location is easy to access, pram-friendly and wheelchair-friendly.
A Unique Way to Connect as a Family
In today’s busy world, it’s rare to simply pause and look up together. Our tours provide a rare opportunity to reconnect – with nature, the cosmos, and each other. Many families tell us that our stargazing experience is the highlight of their Blue Mountains trip.
Our Beautiful Location: Wentworth Falls Picnic Area
We are proud to host our tours from the serene and scenic Wentworth Falls Picnic Area, nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains National Park. This peaceful spot offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and accessibility (visit our Accessibility Page), making it an ideal base for families to enjoy a picnic, explore grassy areas, and even visit nearby waterfalls before the stars appear. One of the reasons why we chose this location, is because it is pram-friendly and wheelchair-friendly.
